Pipeco was incorporated in January, 1982 as a distributor of oil country tubular goods in Houston, Texas. Top executives with Wilson Supply Company left their positions to form the new company and among them was David Schott, who began as Manager of Tubulars when Pipeco was only one year old. In 1988 David was appointed Vice President of Pipeco Services, and in 1998 he assumed the position of President for Pipeco Services, which he continues to hold today.
The foundation was now laid for Pipeco to emerge as one of the leading OCTG distributors in the United States.
